Smoking Coco Chanel Poster Banned

No more smokes for loco Coco photo.

Because of a tobacco advertising law that prohibits the "direct or indirect" promotion of smoking in Paris, posters for the new Coco Chanel movie were banned by the French transportation authorities because, indeed, Coco is pictured smoking a cigarette.

Not that this was a surprise though. Chanel was famous for polishing off cigarettes almost faster than she could buy them, some 50 a day. The poster, understandably, tries to capture this aspect of her life as she sits defiantly in her trademark PJs.

We find the whole fiasco interesting because the French are known for loving their smokes almost as much as they do their beloved Coco. What do you think? Should the poster be banned?
