Soleil Moon Frye Dresses as Punky Brewster
Punky Power!
Anyone who grew up in the 80s remembers (and loves!) Punky Brewster. I remember being a kid and wearing two diffrent colored socks so I could be like her. Her style was pretty awesome but definitely out there.
Wow! We give Soleil Moon Frye a lot of credit. Many child stars try to ignore the roles that made them famous, especially if they're not particularly well-known in current times. But Soleil clearly isn't ashamed of her roots at all.
She promised that once she reached one million Twitter followers, she would dress like Punky Brewster. And good to her word, once she got one million followers, she put on the clothes and made a video. And what an amazing job she did! Soleil looks exactly like a grown-up version of Punky Brewster. And we love it!
She also pulled out a huge book of "Punky's Favorite Phrases" and said many of them. But obviously her favorite was "Punky Power!" which she yelled many times. Soleil said her kids were wondering what she was doing in her Punky garb, which inlcuded everything the little girl used to wear from the bandana around the leg of the jeand to the pigtails and different colored shoes and socks.
She sure brought back some memories for us. It was great to see Punky Brewster again! And just another reason to love Twitter; we get to re-connect with the stars.
