Sonia Rykiel Returns With Knitwear and Accessories
Round two
Back in December, we reported on Sonia Rykiel's line of lingerie for H&M. It was pretty and girly, and frilly. Well, now Sonia is returning for round two with H&M, this time with knitwear and accessories. Again, we couldn't be more excited!
Sonia Rykiel's line of lingerie must have done quite well at H&M because, just months later, the famed designer is coming out with an even more extensive line. The knitwear line is filled with lots of bright colors and stripes. And even the model kind of screams loud with her big red hair.
According to Nathalie Rykiel, the president of Sonia Rykiel, "It is a hallmark of Sonia Rykiel to think of all women because fashion is about a certain spirit more than a question of means. This collaboration fits perfectly with our philosophy. The knitwear collection is perfect for welcoming a colourful new season." Colorful is right! But it's exactly what we want as we look forward to a bright spring season.
And if you're uncertain about knits, once you hear how Nathalie describes her feelings on knits, you'll fall in love too. She says, "Knits are happiness itself, a way of working on the body and playing with colors. They represent true freedom. A knit wraps and attaches. Every day, it wraps its sleeves around my neck and we vow to each other eternal love! I love the idea of this game and this passion, hand in hand with H&M." If that doesn't make you want to get out and buy some Sonia Rykiel knits, I don't know what will.
The creative designer of H&M is also quite excited saying, "Sonia Rykiel is about graphic stripes, color combinations and even cuts. Her collections are always very feminine and so chic. This collection is the essence of Sonia Rykiel style. It's body conscious but never too obvious and always flattering. The details are all about bows, frills and rhinestones. The fine knits are so comfortable and easy to wear... The collection is classic Sonia Rykiel and very, very NOW." That sounds like quite the praise!
The collection was due to arrive at H&M stores yesterday (February 20), so get out there and check it out!
