Actor Johnny Lewis Suspect in Murder of 70-Year-Old Woman?

Actor Johnny Lewis, known for his role on Sons of Anarchy, was found dead yesterday, discovered outside a Los Angeles Home.

The plot thickens, however, as Lewis is also a suspect in the murder of an elderly woman who was found dead inside of the residence.

Officers responded to a report of a screaming woman and found Lewis' body in the driveway.

LAPD Commander Andrew Smith told ABC News affiliate KABC, "He appeared to have died from some type of fall, either from the stairway, or from the balcony, or from one of the roofs."

Smith added, "The best we're piecing together now is that it appears that some type of altercation occurred inside of the house resulting in the death of the woman. Then this individual ran outside, had an altercation with a couple of neighbors, ran back into the house and by the time we got here, he had fallen or had somehow died on the driveway."

A neighbor and a handyman were also badly beaten by Lewis when they confronted him.

It's believed that Lewis was renting a room in the woman's house.

According to a neighbor, it sounds like some strange things were going down, as he recounted hearing both a man and a woman say "Help, help," adding, "I was praying to God. 'God,' I said, 'Clean up this mess here, because this is evil place.' Evil place. All kind of people, by the way, coming, different people, coming, going couple of days, disappearing, coming, other people."

Lewis had roles on The O.C., Boston Public, American Dreams and in the film The Runaways. He played Kip 'Half Sack' Epps on Sons of Anarchy.

He also dated Katy Perry in 2006.
