Is anyone else still totally disturbed that Steve Carell is leaving The Office after this season? Well, now we're getting even worse news. Carell will stop playing Michael Scott four episodes ahead of schedule... Which means he'll be gone from the show at some point in April.

What's Dunder Mifflin without Michael Scott? Well, we got a peek at that a few seasons back when Michael started his own paper company. But at least he was still on The Office. Now, Michael Scott is leaving Dunder Mifflin and the show all together. And while we thought his last episode would air in May, we're not learning Steve Carell will be gone in April.
Ugh, I'm not a fan of this news. But I understand that producers likely don't want the final episode of the season to be a big sad farewell to Steve Carell and would prefer him to leave a few episodes early, so the transition to the next season feels seamless.
The Office's Executive Producer, Paul Lieberstein, tells New York Magazine's Vulture blog, "Steve will have a number of episodes that dramatize and lead up to Steve leaving. Then we'll continue on for about four more episodes, and the spring will prove to be not about an actor leaving, but what happens in an office when a manager leaves and the chaos ensues and people vie for the job and are uncertain about their future..."
