Steve Jobs Taking Indefinite Medical Leave
Jobs to take second leave in two years.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs may be dealing with another health crisis, as Apple has just cryptically announced that Jobs is taking an indefinite leave of absence. Is this related to his pancreatic cancer? Here's what we know.
Fifty-five-year-old Steve Jobs has suffered medical complications in the last few years, including a 2004 pancreatic cancer diagnosis and liver problems that led to a transplant in 2009. Today word got out that Jobs' issues have flared up again, as Apple has released a statement to its employees announcing a medical leave that Jobs will take indefinitely.

Jobs is said to have made it clear in the in-house note that he'll continue to be involved in major decisions at Apple. He added, "I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy."

Yahoo! is relaying speculation about what Jobs' condition may be:
"Apple did not provide any further information about Jobs' current condition, including whether Jobs is acutely ill, whether the leave is related to his 2009 liver transplant or whether he is at home or in a hospital."
And while Apple has a history of keeping Steve Jobs' health issues on the down-low, we wish him fast healing. Jobs has been married to Laurene Powell since March 1991 and has four children.
