Talk about a love story! Taylor Swift has just donated big money for the construction of a playground in her hometown after floods ravaged the Nashville area last March. Here's how the city is responding.
Taylor Swift wrote a check for $100,000 to go toward disaster relief after floods destroyed many homes and public spaces in the Nashville region. Swift's town, Henderson, Tennessee, will see the construction of an awesome new playground for the children in the community -- report our pals at PopCrunch: "The donation will go toward the construction of a new playground for the youth of Henderson. Local officials hope to update the Kids Kingdom Playground as well as the city's volleyball courts on Taylor's dime, according to CMT.com."

The city of Hendersonville has responded with massive gratitude for Taylor Swift's gift. Mayor Dave LeMarbre said late last week, "It's overwhelming. We didn't expect that. We appreciate Taylor's donation as well as all the others who have stepped up."
