She's already pretty super!

Taylor Swift is already one of the most popular singers of the year. And I have a feeling she's going to be one of those musicians who is also a really successful actress. You know, like Britney Spears tried to do. And now Taylor Swift is up for the role of Supergirl in a possible upcoming movie.

How awesome would it be to see Taylor Swift star as Supergirl? In case you don't remember, the super hero is from the 1984 movie Supergirl, which was a huge flop. But now Hollywood wants to remake the movie into something a bit more successful. And you know it will be a lot more successful if Taylor Swift is in the lead role.

Of course, I'm saying all this without ever having seen Taylor Swift do any real acting, though she's awesome in the little video skits she does from time to time. And we'll all have a chance to see her skills in February when she plays Samantha Kenny in Valentine's Day.

The movie was a spin-off of the popular Superman and starred Helen Slater in the role of Kara Zor-El, AKA Supergirl. According to an industry expert, "Hollywood is short of female heroes and the time is right for a new Supergirl... A number of young stars are being mentioned for the title role in a Supergirl movie and possible TV spin-off and Taylor is top of that list. She has all the right elements to be a positive role model to young girls."
