'The Notebook' To Become a Musical
The Notebook star Rachel McAdams has said she is "stunned" there are plans to turn the movie into a musical. Rachel, 30, plays the younger version of Allie Hamilton in the film opposite Ryan Gosling, who plays her husband Noah Calhoun.
Asked if she had heard about the plans for the musical, Rachel said: "No, this is the first time I've heard of this! I'm stunned. I'm speechless!" One Tree Hill star Bethany Joy Galeotti and music producer Ron Aniello have been working on a follow-up to the 2004 film. Galeotti and Aniello will be holding casting calls at the beginning of August and if the play does go to Broadway one day, Rachel said she would like to go. She said: "I would go see that. I'm curious. I can't imagine how that would work out, but I would love to see it!" Rachel is currently promoting her new movie Sherlock Holmes.
