Former shock-jock Wendy receives forgiveness from Whoopi.

Since Whoopi Goldberg's appearance on Monday's episode of The Wendy Williams Show, you've been searching like mad to learn what their conflicted history is. Here we've discovered Wendy Williams' bashing against Whoopi Goldberg, her family and her View colleagues...keep reading.

Wendy Williams now has her own syndicated television talk show, but from 2001 to 2009, Williams was a high-profile radio personality who was best-known for her on-air clashes with celebrities. Whoopi Goldberg was a frequent Williams target, as Wendy criticized Whoopi's personal life and appearance. It's reported Wendy Williams called Whoopi Goldberg an ugly monkey, said she did drugs, and even suggested Whoopi Goldberg was a lesbian, despite Whoopi's three marriages and daughter.

Whoopi's 36-year-old daughter Alex was also a target of Wendy Willliams' insults (Williams said Alex used cocaine), and when Wendy and Whoopi reunited on Wendy's television show this week, Whoopi informed Wendy her daughter was unhappy with her for making the appearance. In the clip you'll see Wendy Williams offer her apology and try to explain that it was for the sake of her career and notoreity that she attacked Whoopi, her family and her co-stars on The View (such as Sherri Shepherd, whom Williams once described as "unnecessary" for the show's panel).

Whoopi tells Wendy Williams that the criticism wasn't all necessary, but she offered Williams her forgiveness. Check it out.

Also, what have other controversial stars done for fame? Ke$ha sold her clothes for food, as we reported Tuesday, and, well, Tila Tequila's back on Twitter, "denting" her own head and engaging in other ridiculousness...
