Third 'Bridget Jones' Movie Is Happening
Get Ready To See Renee Zellweger Gain Weight
The possibility of Bridget Jones 3 is slowly turning to reality. As the third flick already had a script and star-studded returning cast, all that was remaining was for a director to take on the project. Behold the search is now over and Peter Cattaneo, Full Monty director, has agreed to give the flick his own touch of "British Sensibility."
But after two successful movies, what could be left for the 'Want and Sex Goddess With Very Bad Man Between Her Thighs'? Well, how about a baby? Yep, Bridget Jones (played by Renee Zellweger) will be knocked up for the third installment -- although whether the baby belongs to Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) or Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) could remain a closely-guarded diary secret.

Here’s how Firth previously described the plot of this sequel:
"I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can’t have children, I think that’s the way it goes on. So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver [Hugh Grant's character] for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she’s left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?"

According to Entertainment Weekly, a sequel has been in the works since 2009, but is only now moving forward. For each of the previous movies, Bridget Jones creator Helen Fielding had written a book a few years prior and she, reportedly, has been working on a third one for a few months. In March this year, she told the London Evening-Standard, "I will be working on both the book and the film but I don’t know if they are the same thing yet. It’s not been decided."

Now as many of you would agree, the first BJ movie was a gem of a story, however, the second was not so monumental and got ravaged by critics. Could a third movie do any better and roundup a successful trilogy? Are you excited to see Bridget with a baby?
