Tiger Woods Back Home: Focuses On Golf, Fitness
Tiger Woods' continued attempts to repair image before golf return.
We've just received a new report that Tiger Woods is back in Florida. Apparently he landed late last night after just over a week of "family therapy" near Tucson, Arizona. What are Tiger's tasks this week? Getting the public to fall for him again.
It's beginning to work. We reported early Tuesday morning that many Americans would forgive Tiger Woods before they'd forgive Bernie Madoff, Charlie Sheen, Chris Brown, John Edwards of Roman Polanski. We imagine this comes as good news to the golf god, whose public apology has mended some sponor relationships, while it damaged some others (like Gatorade).
So Tiger continues his attempts to appear squeaky-clean again by hitting golf balls in wide open spaces and going for runs in public (one source has reported that Tiger attempted to hire a photographer to shoot him during a workout. The photographer refused). It's said his golf practice is taking place just feet away from where Tiger crashed his Escalade into a fire hydrant on November 27, but Tiger's carrying on as though nothing ever happened.
.
Meanwhile, exactly what happened in Arizona? We received an insider report from an employee at Phoenix's Biltmore Hotel who allegedly spotted Tiger and Elin traipsing through the hotel lobby last week, but press reports insisted Tiger was in rehab for his prescription drug addiction. Clearly these are conflicting updates, and we can't help but wonder how successfully Tiger's camp is really executing this clean-up job. Elin's said to have participated in the purported therapy for a few days, but then apparently she returned home before Tiger did. Insiders say Tiger will return to golf on March 22 in the Tavistock Cup tournament near his home in Windermere, Florida.
