Tina Fey and Steve Carell Team Up Again for 'Mail-Order' Movie
Don't fix it if it ain't broke.
The stars of two NBC Thursday night comedies are reportedly ready to star in another film together. Steve Carell and Tina Fey will appear as a married couple in the upcoming film Date Night early next year, and now, the pair will reportedly join forces again for Mail-Order Groom.
Written by Robert Carlock and Jeff Richmond, two producers on Fey's show 30 Rock, Mail-Order Groom will follow the story of a single woman who's unlucky in love and somehow ends up with a mail-order husband from Eastern Europe.
There is no director set for the project yet, but a number of names have come up, including Jay Roach (Meet the Parents and Austin Powers), and Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (the duo who directed Little Miss Sunshine, which also starred Carell).
In the more foreseeable future, Fey and Carell star in Date Night, about a suburban couple with an unhappy marriage. Then one night, when they decide to reignite their usually droll date night, they head to a fancy NYC restaurant and find themselves in the middle of a mob plot.
Both films are sure to be laugh-laden, and it looks like audiences will have plenty of Fey and Carell from now on.
