Tips For A Great Winter Tan
Inspired by Whitney Port's Glow
Watching The City this week, I couldn't help but notice Whit's gorgeous tan. It might be early days yet, but I'm missing my summer glow already! I'm looking at easy, cheap ways to boost my glow and get me looking healthy and fresh. Otherwise, this winter is going to be a loooong one.
Try some of these techniques out and see if they can't help you look a little more tan:
*Don't ditch your summer supplies. This is the best time to "downgrade" to self-tanning moisturizer and a little luminescent creme, like DEX's Mineral Glow. It has a opalescent finish that flatters every skin tone, and it settles like a veil over moist skin. Amazing when combined with a little self-tanning moisturizer.
*Blend too-dark tinted moisturizer with light foundation and a mousse moisturizer to create a self-blended tint to apply on your face. I love blending my own mixes, and it takes one second. All I do is add the tinted moisturizer to the palm of my hand, put in a generous dollop of moisturizer, and then "drip" in the foundation until it's just light enough, but still golden-y. You can apply it with a sponge, or if it has a lot of moisturizer added, your fingers.
*Create an illusion elsewhere. Don't just think about your skin, but about mixing in other beachy vibes, too, all year long. Tousle your hair with winter with some salt spray on a night out, use a splash of summery perfume, and add both highlights and lowlights to your hair this winter.
Do you hang on to your summer tan, too?
