Tom Cruise Drops 'The Tourist', Sam Worthington Steps In
Tom Cruise has dropped out of The Tourist after flirting with the project for months. Cruise has replaced the movie with an untitled Fox project by Walk The Line director James Mangold.
Cruise's shoes will be filled by up-and-coming Australian in Hollywood Sam Worthington. Charlize Theron is also attached to the movie. The Tourist is a remake of a 2005 French spy thriller by the same name. The film tells the nail-biting tale of an American tourist manipulated by a female Interpol agent in Europe. Filming is scheduled to begin in January. Worthington's last movie was Terminator Salvation.
