Tom Cruise Goes to Meet Peter Jackson
Tom Cruise is said to have made a heartbeat of a stop in New Zealand to meet director Peter Jackson. A local newspaper reported that "a Hollywood superstar has spent 24 hours in the country".
Cruise flew out of Australia, where he had spent time with Katie Holmes and daughter Suri, three, into New Zealand and then out of the island nation, the setting for Jackson's epic Lord of the Rings. Jackson met Cruise at Wellington Airport. The superstar knows Jackson and wanted to visit his studios, said Wingnut Films spokesman Matt Dravitski, who added that Cruise was not discussing any future projects with Jackson. Wellington locals said they saw Cruise stop by the Weta Workshop studios in Miramar. Jackson is producing The Dam Busters and The Hobbit.
