Turns out Sting is not the marathon man we all thought he was. Trudie Styler, the Police frontman's wife of 20 years, has revealed that, contrary to legend, they have never used Tantric sex to sustain epic 24-hour long sex benders.

Styler, 57, says in a new interview with British paper The Sun that the rock 'n' roll myth was started after a journalist asked Sting and singer Bob Geldof how long they lasted during sex.

She said, "Geldof said he was a three-minute man, but, as Sting did yoga, he could probably go for hours. Sting then added, 'Haven't you heard of tantric sex'? It sort of became a cause célèbre. The tantric hours got extended and, suddenly, I was doing it all day long."

The rumor has followed them for years now. Which wouldn't be the most terrible rock myth ... if ONLY Sting could last that long.

"Well, if only Sting said that 21 years ago," Styler said. "He has just turned 60, and I imagine the tantric story will carry on going until he drops."

Sting, meanwhile, revealed earlier this year that Tantric sex isn't what keeps their relationship steamy. It's the outfits.

"I do not think pedestrian sex is very interesting," he said. "There is a playfulness we have -- I like the theatre of sex. I like to look good. I like her to dress up."
