'True Blood' Wedding Will Have Dog as Ringbearer

He'll misplace the ring with Beggin Strips.

I still can't tell if True Blood fans take the show seriously, or if they're just fascinated with how crazy it is. And my dillemma hasn't gotten easier now that stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have released some odd details about their upcoming wedding.

Newly-engaged couple and True Blood co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were at the L.A. Dogworks and Good Dog Animal Rescue fund raiser on Wednesday, when Moyer confessed that his dog, not his young son, Billy, will serve as ringbearer at his wedding.

"Splash, my alpha, will be the ringbearer," he said. "My son might be unhappy about that."

So despite the fact that Moyer thinks of him as "a grumpy little sod," 'Splash' will get the call over Billy to bring out the ring at the ceremony. We're beginning to wonder if they've actually thought any of this out. Moyer himself doesn't seem to know what "engaged" means.

"We haven’t planned anything," Moyer said. "People say, 'You are engaged to be married,' and I’m like, 'Really? I thought we were just engaged.'

But in the meantime, while Moyer looks for a dictionary, the couple will be focusing on more immediate events. Like Halloween.

"Funny enough, a friend of ours wants to go as me. He’s about that big [waist high]," he said. "And we were talking about taking my daughter [Lila], as Sookie, but then we thought that would be really bad. Ha."
