And while that color trend will probably carry over into 2010 as well, there's a new color on the block that's going to be even hotter. And that color is turquoise.

And now that Pantone says Turquoise, also known as Pantone 15-5519, is the color of the year, you're going to see people getting their blue-green on in all kinds of ways. And turquoise is the perfect color for this new decade, since it's so fresh and cheery-looking. It reminds us of a pollution-free sky and bodes very well for the coming years. I can't wait to get my hands on some turquoise clothing and accessories and start the year right. Plus turquoise is perfect for all seasons, since it can be considered nice and icy for the winter or fresh water-like for the summer.
