Twilight's Eclipse Will Be More Guy-Friendly

Will Eclipse appeal to your boyfriend?

Both Ashley Greene and Taylor Lautner are saying that the third Twilight movie, Eclipse, will be a lot darker and more action-packed than the others. And that could be good news for ladies whose boyfriends have been anything but interested in the Twilight Saga. According to cast, Eclipse will appeal more to the male demographic.

But in our own female opinions, we kind of hope "action-packed" means lots of shirts off fighting between the guys. Ahem. Anyway, Ashley Greene and Taylor Lautner say Eclipse is a lot darker than the other Twilight movies, probably due in part to new director David Slade.

According to Ashley, "I think it'll be different... I think it's going to be a battle between the studio and the director, and it's going to be a hard balance, 'cause I think he's... a little more focused on it being real and maybe it being gorier and a little dark and kind of dramatic."

We think it's interesting that each Twilight movie has a new director, but we guess it makes sense since each movie really is so different from the last. Taylor says he feels like each one gets more and more action-packed, which leaves us wondering what the final movie, Breaking Dawn, will be like.

Taylor Lautner says working with David has been good; he's "a lot different, but he's going to add a new taste to the movie." And Ashley says, "There's going to be a lot more focus on [action], and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly."

Personally, we love Twilight the way it is, but we get why a new taste needs to be added for Eclipse. And if it gets our guy pals excited, then we're definitely all for it!
