26 Year Old Long Island Man Wins Chevy Super Bowl Ad Contest
Life is good for 26 year old Zach Borst, the Long Island man who won the Chevy Super Bowl ad contest.
His winning ad, called "Chevy Happy Grad," about a high school kid who thinks his parents got him a Camaro for graduation, will run in one of Chevrolet's spots during the Super Bowl.
In the ad, the high school grad is over the moon excited when he thinks his parents are unveiling a new Camaro for his gift -- in actuality, they've given him a college dorm mini-fridge.
It's a bit of a let down when he finally realizes the car isn't for him.
Borst's 60 second version of the ad will air on Super Bowl Sunday, but you can watch the 30 second version here.

Borst entered Chevrolet's contest and was selected the winner out of 198 submissions that were narrowed down to 33 finalists.
The aspiring filmmaker from Floral Park, NY, who wins $25,000, shared the inspiration for his ad: "My dad was a cop and worked real hard to be able to buy his kids their first cars. They were used, but mine meant the world to me. Then I wondered what it would look like if I got a brand new Camaro? I mean, after all, who wouldn't want a Camaro as a graduation gift?"

Joel Ewanick, GM's global chief marketing officer, said in a statement: "We asked filmmakers to depict life's journey and how Chevrolet is there along the way. When I saw Zach's spot, I had to laugh because the situation is something many families can relate to-expectation and reality."
