Lots of musical acts have wacky riders written into their performing contracts. They want a specific kind of champagne, a certain brand of pizza, only one kind of potato chips, etc. But, the original odd ball demand came courtesy of Van Halen's wacky quartet during the (original) David Lee Roth era; no brown M&Ms -- EVER.

But WHY? That's what fans have been clamoring to know for years now. And, finally, Diamond Dave himself has gone on the record and cleared the whole thing up.
