Chrisina Hendricks' hair is so amazing that it's hard to imagine that she's a natural blonde. Isn't it crazy, since she looks so perfect as a redhead? Whenever you run into somehow who fits their adopted color so perfectly, it's best to take notes for your future hair styling.

Have you ever creamed of having auburn hair? Fire-engine red? Something slightly spicier? I definitely have (it runs in the family!), but it wouldn't work for my coloring. Here are some guidelines to follow and see whether or not your red shade will work for you.

*Ask a pro if red hair will work for you, and be honest with yourself. If red hair will suit you, that's great. Some people end up looking a little "off," and would see more results with an auburn brown with highlights--or a strawberry blond.

*Know that there are both warm and cool red from which to choose. The warmer reds are gold-ish, and would complement you if you have a warm skin tone (test by seeing whether or not gold looks better on you). Cool reds are more blue-ish and burgundy.

*Try a subtle shade change. Cool reds are not recommended to change drastically in shade, while warmer reds should not be altered more than three shades lighter.
