Watch Kate Hudson's 'Nine' Music Video
She's up for a Golden Globe -- here's why!
Have you noticed how excited we are for Nine's nationwide release on December 25? This is why my girl cousins and I have plans to line a row of theater seats and eat buttery popcorn on Christmas: Nine is glitz, glamour and just about every other theme a girl wants to see in a flick. Now the video for Kate Hudson's song "Cinema Italiano" is out, and she's up for a Golden Globe against Paul McCartney and U2 for it! Go Kate! We have it for you in full force below. Guido, Guido, Guido!
What does Hudson say about the nomination? What else: she laughed! "I am so excited. It is very exciting and I never thought that would ever happen ... [They're] people that are literally in my living room everyday because I love them so much, like Bono and Sir Paul McCartney," she said.
And about the song itself? What a feat! "It's a very difficult song to sing," Hudson said (indeed we'd heard she had a breakdown preparing for the film -- good thing mom Goldie was there to support her!) "There are a lot of words, a lot of places that when you're not somebody who's used to performing songs like that it's like learning a new language." But she says it's an experience she wants to hold onto -- and she hopes to keep singing!
We hope she does too -- check her out! And visit our buds at PopEater for more on what Hudson had to say about her musical big break.
