This could be a very good thing

What an interesting combination of musical minds! Weezer and Katy Perry are planning to collaborate and we have no idea what they're going to sound like. But we sure are excited to hear.

Weezer's Rivers Cuomo has said about Katy Perry, "We're writing together next week. Can't wait!" Weezer's own album, Raditude, is coming out soon and it's being said that Katy is just getting started on her own.

Katy Perry has said that she wants her upcoming album to be more fun than usual, though we think that Katy's music is always quite fun. But according to her, "I'm kind of thinking I want to do my record like a mesh between 'Lovefool' by the Cardigans and ['The Sign'] by Ace of Base. I want to make songs that people want to hold hands and roller-skate to." Well, we love the Cardigans and Ace of Base and think Katy could do an awesome job with this!

And we do know that Weezer has surprised us in the past. Remember their awesome take on the MGMT song? And they are doing some pretty cool collaborations, like with Little Wayne.

Stay tuned for more on the Weezer and Katy Perry collaboration; we'll be waiting for it! And we wonder if Katy Perry will bring Russell Brand into the studio with her.

I think it?s really great that Rivers from Weezer is going to be working with Katy Perry on some songs. They should turn out amazing because both are so great at what they do. So I was on facebook the other day and found this really great Weezer contest. All you have to do is take a picture wearing a sweater and holding up a sign and you can win tickets to see Weezer at a private show in NYC.
