Oh, Charlie

At first I thought it could be a good thing Charlie Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day. Most people are away from their televisions and the Internet on Christmas, plus more news-worthy events were occurring, so maybe the news would quietly fade away. But Charlie wasn't so lucky, because everyone is still talking about his arrest.

Everyone is talking about the fact that Charlie Sheen was drinking on Christmas morning. Not a big deal to most of us right? Lots of us like a mimosa or a bloody mary to welcome Santa. But the thing is, it's being said that Charlie had been up all night drinking. And for Charlie Sheen, who has been through rehab several times, his drinking is not a good thing.

So, what really happened? Well, Charlie was going to spend Christmas his third wife, Brooke Mueller, in Aspen where she was staying while he was working in Los Angeles. After Brooke called police, Charlie was arrested on felony charges and second-degree assault. But Charlie told police that Brooke was the aggressor. And when blood alcohol tests were given, Brooke Mueller came in at .14, while Charlie Sheen came in at .04.

So, could it be possible that Brooke called the police in a fit of drunken anger? Charlie was arrested, but managed to get out after posting a bail of $8,500. But his Christmas was likely ruined and now everyone is talking about him again. No word on if Charlie and Brooke's 8-month old twins were there, but they probably were there, celebrating their first Christmas with mom and dad.

Whatever the case, it seems that most people are focusing on the fact that Charlie Sheen is drinking again, rather than the supposed assault charges. You may also remember Charlie's marital trouble with ex-wife Denise Richards, and we're wondering how much alcohol had to do with it. I personally love Charlie Sheen as an actor on Two and a Half Men and I hope he gets the help he needs to end his addiction. And hopefully the truth will come out about what really happened on Christmas morning.
