Chris Brown has been doing a lot of press. Last week he went toe-to-toe with Rihanna in their national television interviews about the domestic abuse incident between the pair last February, and they both have their new albums releasing within a month of each other. Just how is the world responding? By busting on Chris Brown's boots.

It may not seem like the most obvious critique for a hip-hop and R&B star whose most notable claim to infamy is not his fashion choices, but how he treats women. But after Chris Brown gave an interview on BET's 106 & Park this week in front of a live studio audience, the show's viewers took to Twitter to beat on Brown for every one of his mistakes they could find. Somehow his choice of boots emerged as one of the most prevalent -- one Twitter user said, "Chris brown interview....WEAK... beat around the bush on every question.! nd his boots were wack.! put cuh in a tutu.!" [sic] Another posted, "Damn I went to go eat an hour ago...and Chris Brown is trending bout them damn Keebler Elf Boots." Wow! And yet another said, "Chris Brown's boots is gettin more play than youis Brown's BET interview." [sic]

They're referring to the knee-high round-toed brown boots Brown wore on the set of 106 & Park. He tucked in his pants pirate-style, and the look is getting a lot more criticism than his response to Rihanna's 20/20 interview last week -- check out Chris Brown's look in the interview here.
