What's With Spencer Pratt's Cowboy Hat?
Spencer Pratt thinks he's a cowboy
It's a question everyone wants answered. Why is Spencer Pratt wearing that stupid cowboy hat around all the time? He looks absolutely ridiculous walking around LA in that hat and his friends all seem to agree. Why isn't wife Heidi Montag making him take it off?
Brody Jenner tells MTV.com of Spencer's incessant cowboy hat-wearing, "Every time I go to film or I'm filming with somebody else, I hear stories that Spencer's wearing cowboy hats all the time now and wearing charms, some kind of necklaces." Yes, Brody, you're correct. That's because everyone is talking about Spencer's hat because he looks so lame in it. Then again, maybe that's what Spencer really wants. For everyone to be talking about him.
Spencer's sister, Stephanie Pratt thinks the hat is dumb too, but enjoys making fun of him for it. She says, "It's really fun to make fun of him lately... I go over to their house, and I'm like, 'Spencer, stop going through Heidi's clothes.' It's really fun... he's, like, getting really scary."
Scary is definitely the right word to describe it. It's like Spencer thinks he's some sort of outlaw or in a whole different world. But Spencer says he wears the hat because his father-in-law gave it to him. He says, "Well, it was because my new father-in-law gave it to me, and he gave it to me with such a serious speech connected to it [about] how much it truly meant to him and his life and everything... For me, it wasn't really more a fashion statement - it was more something for my father-in-law."
We wonder what the meaning of this hat is. But Spencer will probably never tell us because he wants us to keep wondering about him. And talking about him. This sounds like a job only a wife can take care of. Heidi Montag, tell your hubby to take that hat off!
