It's movie mayhem.

In theaters this weekend are a whole assortment of flavors that are guaranteed to satisfy even the pickiest of motion picture palettes. Here's our quick guide to what's new, what's hot and what's coming to a theater near you.

Drew Barrymore makes her directorial debut with Whip It, a rock-em-sock-em female empowerment flick about a young woman (Ellen Page) who attempts to break free from her small-town by joining the local roller derby team. The film co-stars Barrymore, Kristen Wiig, Marcia Gay Harden and Juliette Lewis as a veteran derby brawler.

In Zombieland, Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg star as one of only a handful of survivors left in a world overrun by zombies. Critics are calling it the "funniest zombie movie since Shawn of the Dead," so make sure to bring your sense of humor.

In the new comedy, The Invention of Lying, Rickey Gervais (creator and star of the original The Office series) stars as Mark, a man with an exceptional ability: he is the only person in the world who knows how to lie. But pretty soon these lies become too much for him to maintain and he's forced to reconsider his newfound skill. Co-stars Jennifer Garner.

After a limited release last week, Michael Moore's new documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story, opens around the country this week. The old familiar Moore is back with his confrontational, muck-raking ways, and this time he takes on the the country's current economical crisis.
