Whitney Houston to Make New Album

In what might be the most exciting news of the year, Whitney Houston is reportedly coming out with a new album soon. We hope the girl has still got it!

The last time we got a new album from Whitney Houston was Christmas of 2003 with One Wish: The Holiday Album. Earlier in that same year she had also released Just Whitney, but it didn't do very well and there wasn't very much from it to remember.

According to Ne-Yo who is helping produce her album (yay!), "People are expecting something fantastic and I think they are going to get it. Whitney doesn't want any sad songs on this record. She isn't going for tear jerkers. She's happy raising her children and wants her music to reflect that. It's already sounding great."

We love Whitney's upbeat hits like "I'm Every Woman" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)," so this excites us. But we're also a fan of her slower sad songs like "Didn't We Almost Have it All" and "I Will Always Love You," so we hope she throws in a few slow ballads on there.

We really hope this is the start of a new beginning for Whitney who has been said to battle with drug problems. With Whitney and Ne-Yo as a team, this is sure to be a big one. And we're seriously hoping there are some duets with the two of them on there!
