Whitney Port Debuts Whitney Eve Clothing Line

We already love Whitney's styles

We've watched her career for years now. And finally we get to see Whitney Port reach her dreams. Whitney showed her spring 2010 Whitney Eve collection at New York Fashion Week yesterday. And we're loving her new line!

Of course they were filming for The City throughout the entire fashion show. Which means we'll probably get to see all the juicy behind the scenes stuff in a few weeks!

New York magazine spoke to Whitney Port at the show and asked her about the inspiration for her new line. Whitney said, "My inspiration was sort of, you know, playing off of spring and kind of Alice in Wonderland goes to a cocktail party... Very fantasy-driven but also fun and flirty, having a good time."

They also asked her why she decided to do a fashion show and it sounds like it was almost sort of last minute for her: "You know what? I just - it kind of came into place really, really fast within the last couple weeks when I found out, and I just pulled it together really fast... But I didn't really think it through so much. I was just like, you know, I have this chance, this ability, and I might as well go for it." We're glad she did!

That actually sounds pretty perfect to us. And it was. The clothes in Whitney's new Whitney Eve collection involve lots of metallics (so hot right now!), light fabrics, ruffles, and draping. They're described as girly and flirty and we can't wait to get our hands on them (though we haven't heard any word on the price yet or where it will be sold).

Whitney also picked out the music for the show and it included Goldfrapp, The Rolling Stones, The Waitresses, and more. Also, her ex-boyfriend who you may remember from The City, Jay Lyon, was in the audience with a brunette girl. We wonder if that was just for The City drama.

We're glad Whitney's first Fashion Week was a success and we can't wait to see more!
