Why are Steven Tyler's Toes So GROSS?
New Photos Show the Rock Star's Deformed Feet
As the lead singer of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler has long been known for his high-octane performances that often had him running around on stage like a kid who'd missed a dose of ritalin. But now it looks as if Tyler may have to stay off his feet for a while -- if his gnarled toes are any indication.
.
New photos of Tyler's feet have recently emerged, and they're not pretty. The snaps show several of the singer's toes looking deformed and more than a little twisted. His second toe has even crossed entirely over his big toe. Ouch!
In fact, the pain has been so excruciating that it's one of the reasons Tyler took a break from touring with Aerosmith to become a judge on American Idol. So much for the rumor that he was sick and tired of singing "Sweet Emotion" for the umpteenth time.

Turns out that Tyler suffers from a little known foot condition called Morton's neuroma, a condition which causes swelling of the nerves in a person's third and fourth toes. This leads to a great deal of discomfort, and is common among runners, ballet dancers and perhaps now rockstars. Mick Jagger ought to take note!
