Will Ferrell to Star on 'The Office'
For 4 episodes
No, Will Farrell won't be replacing Steve Carell as the new big boss on The Office. But he will be stopping by Dunder Mifflin to hang out with Michael Scott. Oh boy, I cannot wait to see the antics these two create together.

While I'd obviously love to see Will Ferrell in a permanent role on The Office, I'm super excited he'll be hanging out for four whole episodes. According to Deadline.com, Ferrell will be playing an branch manager who's visiting Scranton from the home office. Allegedly, he's "just as inappropriate as Steve Carell's Michael Scott character." Love it!
It sounds like Ferrell will be starring on the show to help send Steve Carell off and maybe also to help placate our sadness over the departure of Michael Scott. He is committed to appear on at least one episode after Carell is gone.
Paul Lieberstein, who plays Toby Flanderson and acts as The Office's Executive Producer, has an interesting view on why they cast Ferrell in a few episodes. He tells Deadline, "We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star... We are proud to continue The Office's tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they'll see what we see. Tremendous raw sexuality."

Ha! Yes, I'm sure Will Ferrell really needs that publicity! But seriously, it will be awesome to see him on the small-screen. Though I'm sure Ferrell and Carell's antics might actually be a little too much to handle!
