Will Ryan Seacrest Replace Simon Cowell on 'American Idol'?

There's no way we're going to stop speculating about Simon Cowell's American Idol replacement until we have verified sources telling us who it is. The newest reports we're hearing? It could very well be Ryan Seacrest who replaces Simon Cowell!

In a way, there really wouldn't be any better judge than Ryan Seacrest. Though he's not a music industry mogul, he knows exactly how every aspect of American Idol works. He's viewed all the judging first hand and must know precisely what it takes to make an American Idol. But is he really being considered as a replacement for Simon Cowell?

According to HollywoodLife.com, Simon Cowell may have let the cat out of the bag the other night. He and Ryan were hanging out backstage with Brti boyband JLS, when Simon said to Ryan, "If this was an audition for what possibly could happen with you on the show next year.... We spoke about this!"

Very interesting! Could it be that Ryan will be replacing Simon at the judging table? The other day, we also reported that Ryan Seacrest is the only person on American Idol whose job is currently safe. It's possible that Ryan will be taking over all roles on the show. If American Idol is turned into more of a reality show, Ryan could be the host and maybe even have a judging role too.
