Wyclef Jean: Sean Penn "Too Busy Sniffing Cocaine"
Pras of The Fugees gets an earful too.
Wyclef Jean may not be a politician, but he can sure sling mud like one. The rapper and former presidential candidate for Haiti has fired back at his critics through a little twist of lyrics -- including a bitter drug accusation against actor Sean Penn.

Performing at New York's On Da Reggae Tip concert, Jean lashed out at the actor, who has been vocal about his dislike of Jean's run for president of the Caribbean nation.
Singing his 2004 hit "If I Was President," Jean changed the lyrics to say: "I got a message for Sean Penn: Maybe he ain't see me in Haiti 'cause he was too busy sniffing cocaine."
Jean took aim at Penn for criticizing the singer's "non-presence" in Haiti, and questioning where he was in the six months after the country's devastating earthquake when worldwide attention and aid was so desperately needed.

Responding to the drug claims, a rep for Penn called them "ludicrous," adding "that Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising."
In the song, Jean also threw a barb at former Fugees bandmate Pras: "I got a message for Pras, well. Even though you don't wanna support me, I got love for you... even though you only kicked eight bars in the Fugees."

Pras had expressed doubt that Jean could get things done quickly, and said the singer was not offering specifics on how he would get the country on the road to recovery.
