sofia j

Like sweet potato pie.

Between the chilly temps, dark days of winter, and dismal economic forecast, we could all do with a little lightness and brightness right about now. Enter, Sofia J. This New York native is bursting with sunshiny energy.

You may recognize her upbeat, sing-a-long ready tracks from Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and Made. Her latest release, Happy to Be Me, is reminiscent of Natasha Bedingfield--positive pop perfect for that long trip to grandmother's house.

Check out "A Taste (The La La Song) " and "Happy to Be Me" off of Happy to Be Me, and "Nevermind" off of her previous album You Gotta Know Me. See if you aren't lifted up just a little bit.

Serena is so the new Tinsley.

Spotted: The real Serena van der Woodsen

Confess. You yearn to be Serena van der Woodsen. We do.

Yes, the family drama would be intense, and being that Chuck Bass is wicked-sexy, it would kinda be a shame that he was our brother. But we’re pretty much in agreement that the limitless AmEx, trips to Valentino, and invitations to just about any party, ever, would make up for all that.

But, seriously, life's about more than just parties and unlimited cash, right? Wrong.

To prove it, we introduce Exhibit A: Manhattan socialite and all around ritzy blueblood Tinsley Mortimer. Often described as the most famous face of the New York scene, this much photographed rich girl has been living the fab life since, well, forever!

We don’t know if she’s a bad girl gone good, but we can only imagine that growing up with fame, privilege, and an all-access pass to New York City, she didn’t go to boarding school because she wanted to learn. Sound like any other Upper East Siders we know?

ugly betty

We create our own television soundtrack.

Being the TV addicts we are, we thought it would be fun to create our own television playlist. Inspired by some of our favorite, and not-so-favorite TV characters, these songs are setting our innermost viewer thoughts to music.

Why doesn't Spencer get a job? Are the new kids of Beverly Hills happy in their 90210 zipcode? Will Vincent Chase ever feel ugly? Thoughts to chew on as you tune into this.

  1. Dr. McDreamy, Grey's Anatomy -- "Calling Dr. Love" (KISS)
  2. Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City -- "Here I Come" (Fergie)
  3. Spencer Pratt, The Hills -- "Why Don't You Get a Job?" (The Offspring)
  4. Lauren Conrad, The Hills -- "Livin' La Vida Loca" (Ricky Martin)
  5. Serena van der Woodsen, Gossip Girl -- "Heartbreaker" (Pat Benatar)
  6. Cast of Lost -- "I Want to Go Home" (Ryan Adams)
  7. Vincent Chase, Entourage -- "You're So Vain" (Carly Simon)
  8. Dan Scott, One Tree Hill -- "Bad to the Bone" (George Thorogood)
  9. Cast of 90210 -- "California Dreamin'" (The Mammas and the Pappas)
  10. Clark Kent, Smallville -- "Superman" (Five for Fighting)
  11. Betty Suarez, Ugly Betty -- "Beauty Is Only Skin Deep" (The Temptations)
  12. Hank Moody, Californication -- "Rehab" (Amy Winehouse)
