Work the scarf trend.
The answer to all your fashion woes lies in a single square piece of fabric. Worn in your hair, around your neck, or even on your purse, a scarf adds instant pattern and pizzazz to a hum-drum ensemble. Or so we've heard.
But how the heck do you tie it? We are always in awe of the woman who sashays down the sidewalk with one expertly thrown over her shoulders. We try it at home, and end up looking like a 1970's stewardess.
Lucky for us, there's a new book: 99 Ways to Cut, Sew, Tie & Rock Your Scarf.
We're hoping it clears up any lingering questions.
We proclaim this winter the season of the boot.
This season there are enough styles to fit any personality. Find yours here.
The Blair Waldorf Wannabe
Your days consist of lunch at the country club after a brisk morning ride, so you need the footwear to match. We say riding boots are your best bet.
The Kate Moss Hippie Chick
Kate Moss is a style icon, and nothing says Kate like lace-up moccasins (really, we saw her in them). Embrace your inner granola with knee-high moccasins.
The Rainy Day Girl
You're most at peace when the sky is gray and puddles dot the sidewalk. Wet feet definitely dampen the fun. Keep things dry with classic Wellington boots.
The Rihanna Fashion Maven
Just like the songstress, your style is always one step ahead of the pack. Keep up the pace in sexy over-the-knee boots that'll have her stylists calling you.
The Biker(ish) Babe
No one's suggesting you need a Harley to wear these boots, but why not make people think you've got one? Biker babes all over covet these soft-tough biker boots.
The Chic Cowgirl
Just because you wear cowboy boots doesn't mean you wrangle cattle. A good cowboy boot looks equally great with jeans or a short dress and tights.
We can't wait for her Edie Rose line to debut.
With Fashion Week officially upon us, we can think of nothing else.
We were thrilled to spot Rachel Bilson gracing the cover of Page Six Magazine (a supplement of The New York Post), the go-to mag for fashion mavens in town for the shows.
She's been one of our regular fashion girl crushes for months now, and her looks keep getting better. And of course, Rachel has been one busy lady with the launch of her fashion line Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans.
It appears Rachel also has some intriguing social engagements, as well. Bilson will be the maid-of-honor at OC creator Josh Schwartz's wedding. Wonder if she'll run into ex Adam Brody?
We'll keep our eye on her at the shows, if nothing else to see what she has on. We'll keep you posted, too! Of course!
